The Colliers Farm Shop and Cafe Quick Summary
On the way back from Beefstock festival in Bromyard, Davo and I decided to try and find a good place for breakfast on the route back to Birmingham. After looking around on Google we decided to give Colliers Farm Shop and Cafe a go, a proper field to fork type of place. We wanted something a bit different to your standard builders cafe too, somewhere actually serving local farmers' produce rather than just the usual.
Getting to The Colliers Farm Shop & Cafe
We got there and pulled up to a big car park, plenty of room. Went into the farm shop first for a mooch about to see what they had on. Local produce, fruit and veg, deli items, some meats, a good selection of local ciders and beers too. Just what you'd want from a little farm shop, genuinely good stuff. Davo picked up some great looking Wenlock faggots while we were in there.
Inside The Colliers Cafe
The cafe itself is inside a cottage style building, and it's bigger inside than you'd expect. There's a good area out the back to eat too, that's where we sat, in the sun. A waitress came over and took our order.
It was packed out, being a Sunday morning, so we were a bit worried it'd take forever to get seen to and fed, but it was fine in the end, no issues.

The Breakfast at Colliers Farm Shop & Cafe
We both went for the large breakfast with extra black pudding, which doesn't come as standard, a bit of a shame that. It comes with 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 hash browns, 2 free range eggs, grilled tomato, saute mushrooms, baked beans in a ramekin ( not everybody's cup of tea), and toast. Ordered a flat white to go with it too.
First impressions when it came out were good, and it lived up to it. Really good sausages, the bacon was cooked crispy just how I like it, and the black pudding was soft in the centre with a good bit of flavour to it. Eggs were good too, if slightly overcooked. The mushrooms were a bit overdone and the grilled tomato wasn't grilled enough, cafes never seem to get that one right for some reason. Apart from that though, it was a top bit of scran.
The sausages, bacon and black pudding are all from Wenlock Farm, in Shropshire that's not the far away, they do a lot of the farmers markets around Birmingham and the surrounding areas too. The eggs were from a local farmer as well, which probably explains why it all tasted as good as it did.
£13.95 for the large breakfast, plus £2 extra for the black pudding, and £3.95 for the coffee.
My flat white was alright, a bit too hot and a bit too big for what I wanted, but no real complaints.
They do lunches too, though I didn't really look at the menu for that side of things if I'm honest, breakfast was the plan for the day.
The best brown sauce for a full English is Tiptree Brown sauce i think its different level.

The Verdict on The Colliers Farm Shop
Would I go back? Yes. It's a great spot, a solid breakfast, good staff, and a nice little farm shop right next door to have a browse in too.
